100% New Zealand owned, we’ve been making school uniforms for over forty years

Since 1948 Argyle Schoolwear has specialised in the manufacture of high quality school uniforms and over the decades has grown to become New Zealand's market leader, supplying hundreds of schools nationwide.

Continual investment in technology has ensured our business has stayed at the forefront of school uniform supply. Our market leading ecommerce platform makes it easy to place a retail (ArgyleOnLine) or wholesale (ArgyleDirect) order online with real time stock information. Our factory has state of the art computerised fabric laying and cutting machines and robotic buttoning machines. Our patterns are all digitized and developed in New Zealand to maintain consistency. Our focus on continuous improvement has seen us significantly increase efficiency to enable fast delivery of orders.

Our values and ethics are fundamental to our supply chain

With our own New Zealand based factory and manufacturing heritage, we only partner with suppliers of the highest ethical standards. Our quality control team travels regularly to our offshore partner factories to check garments prior to them being shipped and to conduct audits, ensuring our strict ethical and social compliance standards are met. By controlling the whole manufacturing process and owning our patterns, you can trust your school uniform will be consistent on colour and fit year on year. Our school uniforms are often outgrown before they are worn out.

We put people first

We genuinely believe our people are our most important asset and this culture postively impacts the service we provide to our customers. Our Senior Management Team and Account Managers share a combined total service with Argyle Schoolwear of more than 60 years.

We evolve ideas and products with your community in mind

Our in-house design team will work side by side with you to create a school uniform fit for purpose that can be worn with pride. A large range of stock items are also available for immediate supply with the option to customize with your own logo.

We enable schools to focus on their core business - teaching

One of the biggest pain points for schools is having funds tied up in stock. Our stock support, next day delivery service and local manufacturing for plugging any unanticipated gaps, means you can reduce stock levels with confidence.

We pride ourselves in creating an inclusive culture

We want all students to fit in rather than stand out. If a student has special needs or is outside the stocked size range, we will make their uniform especially for them at no extra cost (excluding a surcharge for lengthening blazers).
