Supply Chain

In addition to our in-house factory we currently source garments from reputable long term partner factories in New Zealand, China, Indonesia and Fiji.

Our New Zealand based team travel regularly and work alongside our partner factories for quality control.

We are strongly opposed to any form of forced or child labour in both the fabric industry and any other garment manufacturing processes. Our suppliers sign an agreement with us that covers the following specific points:

• A proper and safe working environment will be provided for all employees.
• All employees are paid in accordance with local government and regional minimum wage regulations.
• All employees meet the legal minimum age for employment.
• Principals of ethical manufacturing and social compliance are followed.

Environmental Initiatives

We are committed to continuing to improve our environmental performance. Here are some of the initiatives we already have in place:

• Our fabric mills have strict environmental compliance in place, e.g. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 compliance, ISO14000 certification.
• We donate samples and obsolete stock to Mission Without Borders to repurpose for children in orphanages.
• We ship the majority of our garments made offshore in full containers by sea freight rather than using air freight.
• We minimise the use of plastic packaging of garments by providing as many of them as practical without plastic bags.
• We use courier bags made from recycled plastics and we encourage customers to re-use these bags for returns.
• We recycle cardboard and paper across our business.

Social Responsibility

We’re proudly 100% New Zealand owned and operated. We operate in a way that values our people and community. We promote diversity, inclusion and community in the following ways:

• We support local schools and communities by sponsoring student prizes and scholarships.
• If a student has special needs or is outside the normally stocked size range, we will make their uniform especially for them at no extra cost.
• Over half of our senior management team are women.
• We genuinely believe in and practice gender equality and pay equity in our business.
• We respect all cultures and religions and allow employees flexible work hours to pursue their own religious practices and beliefs.
• We encourage and support employees to fundraise for local charities.
• We endeavour to provide our people the flexibility they need for work life balance while empowering them to do their job to the best of their ability. Our aim in providing flexibility is to put our people first so they feel valued, supported and connected while better meeting our customer and business needs.
